The story of

Anthony Payne

To create: [It is neither without meaning nor purpose; and so I palate the remarkable instruction God commands — an opulent grandiosity — to create.]

I initially grew fond of drawing during my early adolescence, whereas I studied rudimentary elements of Architecture. I would map blueprints, sketch design, and dream of luxurious living [rustic/open floor plan (studio-like) homes]; always in a rush towards the end result. Yet, as I matured, particular inexperiences and rigid realities exacted a deviation of my pursuance for a career as an Architect, and begot my embrace towards a path filled with entrepreneurial artistry— the ascertainment of my existing an Artist. And although my evolution of skill in drawing has been unconventional, its foundational basis in the traditional practices of Architecture have always remained.

I find my inspiration in reality itself; whether harsh or fantastical, the life experiences of myself and others are teachable moments.
I specialize in ink-based artistry with a signature fire-zinged technique, blending precision with spontaneity - crafting works that feel immersive and timeless.
My work goes beyond mere aesthetic - it beckons exploration; whether capturing the essence of Travel, interpreting Spiritual depth, or Illustrating dynamic narratives, it’s about the connection we all experience.

About APSD

Nestled in Southern California, AP Signature Design & Gallery {APSD}, debuts as a curatorial fine arts gallery of custom artistry. Our Founding Artist – Anthony Payne, specializes in intricate applications of ink, pyrography, framing, and digital rendering as mediums of expressive design. This custom artistry gives rise to wondrous creations we deem as Mapz. APSD curates these Mapz within distinctive thematic enclaves known as Vaultz, delivering immersive experiences of visual exploration and creative symbolism.

Extending beyond the gallery, APSD will operate a storefront, offering collectors and enthusiasts an opportunity to purchase Treasurez [merchandise: Original Mapz, Certified Map Copiez (multiple sizes available), Swinging Framez, Map-Slapz (Stickerz), and Apparel].

Growth Timeline

A personal excursion traversing the vibrant East Coast of Spain ignitez a transformative artistic pursuit—the inception of our Mapz—compositions that undergo a Pyro-Cartographic Impressionism technique, coined ‘Fire-Zinge’, to evoke the allure of ancient treasure maps.

Driving the limits of endurance and precision, our artistry gains momentum through dedicated practice—yet a latent shift subtly takes root, foreshadowing a broader evolution in design.

Experimentation with color integration in our Mapz unlocked unforeseen possibilities, breaching the confines of our custom artistic expression.

Entering the realm of gallery exhibition sparks a profound realization—commanding a sovereign platform is not a mere desire, but an inevitability for the unfettered cultivation and expression of our artistry.

Amid a pivotal return to artistic roots, a deeper purpose manifests—our broader vision demands fortified confidence, refined skill, and expansion surpassing conventional measures. Ink becomes the sole applicator of permanence upon Mapz, refining our expression to its truest form and defining our artistry as ‘Ink-Based’. The conceptualization of new artistic realms is ushered forward, anchored by the seamless fusion of ‘Ink-Based and Fire-Zinged Artistry‘.

With vision crystallized, our creative efforts birth a remarkable complexity: APSD. Structure takes form, artistic identity is defined, and business operations commence. Partnering with the City of Menifee, California, APSD publicly presents its Signature Artistry—marking a successful debut and its official establishment on July 26, 2024.
